Preston allows you to receive notifications directly to your email. These notifications will allow you to receive immediate alerts about coverage that mentions your company, CEO, or other keywords you have included when configuring notifications.
However, if your CEO has a very common name or your company has a generic name that is shared by another company or you have a product or service with a generic name that you have included in your keywords under “Brand and Competitor Coverage” in “Settings,” you may find that live coverage alerts are pulling in articles that are unrelated to your company.
There are a couple things you can do to fix this. If you included the name of a generic product, eliminate it from the keywords to improve notifications. If your CEO has a generic name, then including the name in the “My Company” keywords will not help you track actual coverage, so it should be eliminated. The same goes for a generic company name.
If you believe that your keywords are highly specific and you are still receiving incorrect alerts, feel free to email support@intelligentrelations.com so we can fix the problem.
